¨ Come to class on time.

¨ Sit in assigned seat.

¨ Have homework out and ready to be checked or collected.

¨ Begin warm-up activity.

Be Prepared.<= o:p>

¨ Textbooks are to be brought to class everyday and must be covered (no book sox).

¨ A notebook must be brought to class daily. You are required to have a 3-ring = binder and loose leaf paper.

¨ Students should have a sharpened pencil for class everyday.

¨ Calculators may be used in class. It is the student’s responsi= bility to bring one to class daily.

¨ Come to class with a positive attitude!

¨ Respect yourself, others, and the environment around you.

Other importa= nt hints to get you off to a good start:

Absence:

¨ Every student is responsible for all work th= at goes on in class whether present or absent. It is your responsibility to find = out what happened in class on a day when you are absent. I will always have extra handouts,= but it will be your responsibility to get these.

¨ The day before a quiz or a test is always a review day. I do not teach new material on the day before a test or quiz.= Therefore, if you are absent on the day before a test or a quiz, you will be required to take the quiz or test on the day of your return when the rest of the class is taking the test.

¨ Additional help is offered to those students= who demonstrate a desire to learn. It is not offered to students who are chronically absent without a doctor̵= 7;s excuse, or who take vacations during the school year, or who are not seriou= s in class.

Hall= way Pass:

¨ Please fill out the sign out sheet if you wi= sh to leave the classroom to go to the lavatory. I do not write passes for students= , so if you want to go to the guidance department or to a principal’s offi= ce, then you must have a pass from them to do so.

Grading:

¨ Grades are computed on a cumulative point basis. That is, every assignm= ent, quiz, and test is assigned a point value.&= nbsp; A running total of how many points you receive on each assignment, q= uiz, and test compared to the total number of points possible will represent your grade in the course.

¨ Homework will be assigned on a regular basis= and is approximately 10% of your grade (Neshaminy Math Department standard). Homework must be completed by the = next class day in order to receive credit. NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED! If absent, the student has the number of days absent to make-up the = work they have missed. Each studen= t can miss two homework assignments without penalty. Tests, quizzes, and warm-ups accou= nt for the remaining 90% of your grade. There are no extra credit assignments.

¨ You can access your grade through the Home Access Center via the Neshaminy School Di= strict website.

Lastly,

¨ Everyone will remain in their seats until th= e teacher dismisses the class. The = bell does not dismiss the class. Students are not permitted to line up at the door at the end of the period.

¨ All students are expected to obey the rules = and regulations found on-line in the student handbook.
